Tina and James...

Over the weekend, I met up with a few of my fabulous 2009 wedding clients!

Before unveiling Tina and James' images, I need to say that I truly believe, that my clients are the best. NO, I'm serious... I feel that the people who gravitate towards my work, my passions, get me... they want the images, that my darling father would always say things like "but they have no heads" about. (nothing wrong with that dad, but I like how images make me feel, heads or no heads)

There is nothing wrong with a photo of two people standing awkwardly smiling at a camera. (Ok, of COURSE there is something wrong with this) It just truly isn't my style, I can do it (hence Princess Cruises photographer for 6 years)... but I don't like it, not even for a second. It makes my soul feel shriveled and dried up and crunchy. I get a few inquiries from those who may be after the stand and say cheese shots... but it usually ends up not working out. (phewf) Leaving me with clients who want me to be creative, to let me run wild with my ideas, and who even come armed with their own ideas. I encourage awesomeness. Those of you with ideas, and creativity. I find that you waltz right into my life, and then, we can create beautiful images together. Ahhhh, yup, you all are great. Thank you for letting me explore life, love and beauty through you, and through my lens.

Here along the beautiful Campbell River we created the following images...

Canvases and Art

I love having space. Having time. Having silent moments to regroup. To create. I love decorating our home (consisting mainly of many photo canvases). Spending time with our puppy. I really love re-visiting images from 2008 and creating special one of a kind art pieces for my clients homes. We have just created this one, from our August session. I can't WAIT to see it big, and on their wall (shhh don't tell the fella if you recognize him... its a secret)!

If you are interested in turning any of your images from a session with us into amazing art pieces just email me for more information. This goes for family, maternity, babies, and WEDDINGS!!! Just drop me an email and I'll be happy to let you know about pricing and sizing etc... Have a fabulous Friday, and an amazing weekend!

Susan and Dave

Feet on rocks reflecting in waterWhen Susan and Dave pulled up for their engagement session... Susan was doing a shot of fireball. Now, thats my kind of gal. "Taking the edge off" as she so eloquently put it! This wonderful couple met by chance, by fate, and I believe on a bike trail on a vacation? (correct me Susan if I'm wrong). In any case, Susans 'girls' weekend, quickly turned into being a bit more about Dave. Everywhere Susan and Dave go... you're sure to find their awesome duo dog team... Mango and Chutney. Chutney has been with Susan for 9 amazing years!!! (He's the little black one, thats more like a human than some humans I know) Mango is just pretty, and both are wonderful additions to their photos.

These two (disgustingly happy) love birds will be married at April Point this summer, and I can barely wait to photograph this wedding!!! Going along with the way the session started, we ventured to Freddie's Pub along the water to polish off the evening with Tequila Caesars and Wings. (ROUGH LIFE) I absolutely can NOT wait to see Susan in her dress!!! Stay tuned for images from their August 1st wedding. Cody and Alicia

Touch of heavenOn the rainiest day imaginable, Cody and Alicia met us in Qualicum Beach for their engagement photos. We had re-scheduled so many times, and with their wedding fast approaching... we had to photograph them, rain or shine. And rain it did. Poured in fact... And it was awesome. We found interesting little bits, all over the place, and wound up with some really cool images! Cody had us all laughing the entire time, and I kept thinking what a beautiful bride Alicia is going to be! Here are my favorites from our time together!
